Dragon (どらごん Doragon?) is a character from the Valis series and a member of Glames's army during the events of Valis III.

Biography[]

Dragon was one of Glames's henchmen. When Glames decided to invade both the Human world and the Dream world to save his world's people (Dark world) from the void and prove his power to the gods, Dragon was sent along with Hozegonzaresu and Kolilanba to take over the Dream world. Dragon watched around the Gall's tower (where Kolilanba kept Valna as a prisoner) in the lake of the Els's forest, disguised as a ferryman driving a boat. When Yuuko and Cham arrived to the forest, they had to cross the lake and Dragon intercepted them in their way disguised as the ferryman trying to lure them in a trap. He only could carry one of them in the boat. Once they got closer to the tower, he showed his true appearance to the heroines and attacked them from the water but was defeated.

Personality[]

Dragon is intelligent and calculator. He makes schemes to lure his objectives in mortal traps leaving them helpless. He seems to talk in a lazy manner thus being somehow slow at combat.

Abilities[]

Dragon can take a human form to disguise himself. In combat he can go by water, occasionally jumping from there to attack by tackling his enemies or shooting big energy rings from his mouth.

Appearances[]

Dragon only appears in Valis III as the third boss in the PCE-CD/TGCD version and as the second boss in the Mega Drive/Genesis version, at the end of the Els's forest stage.

Trivia[]

  • Dragon has some similarities in battle with Hess Gildr from the Famicom/NES version of Valis I, althought while Hess Gildr is fought in the ground, Dragon is fought in the water.
  • Dragon's appearance when disguised as the ferryman is possibly a reference to the ferryman character from Konami's Castlevania series. This theory is supported by the fact that there are other things similar to Castlevania's ones in Valis III (like Cham's whip attack).
  • In the Mega Drive/Genesis version, Dragon's jump has many forms that makes It looks like that he is flying instead of jumping.
